C oming from a Jamaican heritage in the Portland region of Jamaica, over a number of years I have visited and lived with family in the Tropical Island and whilst there often tasted the wide variety of traditional jerk dishes from places like the famous Boston Jerk Centre in Portland, Old Harbour Farmers Market, Wilsons Jerk in Ocho Rios and Jubba on the outskirts of Spanish Town.
Hi, I’m Jonathan the Owner of Jerk Fusion Caribbean Takeaway and Mobile Caterers @jerkmaican1.
I have also visited a number of fine small restaurants across Jamaica along with the street food of the locals and family members. With my knowledge in cooking, I wanted to share these experiences with the people of London offering one of the finest Jerk Takeaway’s London has to offer along with experimental dishes which fuse the Jamaican principles of cooking with the food we already know and love as Londoners, but at an affordable price which doesn’t compromise our high quality of standard.
Jerk Fusion and JerkMaican1 was established with that aim.
W e traditionally clean our meat then Jerk (BBQ) our chicken, fish, lamb etc on a traditional Jamaican oil drum, using fresh spices in our special jerk seasoning for that chargrilled authentic flavour of Jamaica.
